life by doing both cardiovascular and resistance training.
Resistance training is extremely important, especially for
women to help them stave off osteoporosis. Bones become weak
and brittle as people get older. After the age of 24, women
need to supplement their calcium intake with the consumption
of more milk, yogurt, and other items high in calcium. If
this process isn't done, as you get older, your body will
begin to take the calcium it needs from your bones which results
in them weakening. Resistance training is vital to help keep
bones strong as the pressure exerted on the bones by the weights
will force the bones to be strong in order to push back.
